JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH

April 11-13, 2023
Adapted from Roald Dahl’s famous story, James and the Giant Peach JR is a musical adventure of courage and self-discovery. With a bit of magic and a lot of heart, James and his insect friends travel by ocean and air to escape James' greedy aunts. You'll be tapping your toes and singing along the entire time!

PLAYWORKS 2024

April 23-25, 2024
The PlayWorks Short Play Festival is the annual celebration of the work of the Directing 35 students at Victoria School of the Arts.

ENVISION

May 29 & 30, 2024
Envision will showcase guest choreographed works created by artists with different backgrounds, exploring movement specific to the artists and their creative process. Through these experiences, students have made connections with guest artists such as Victoria School alumni and community professionals. From hip-hop and Afrobeats to contemporary and commercial works, we are looking forward to presenting an exciting evening of dance!

Featuring Works by Shawn Bracke, Josh Capulong, Kalyna Howell-Matwichuk, Mpoe Mogale, Tia Kushniruk, Daniel Palladino, Quincy Pipella and more.

STORY

November 24, 2023
The students and staff of Victoria School are excited to welcome Quest Theatre for a week long residency. Grades 4-6 students will engage with drama specialists from Quest Theatre to create a forty-five minute production entitled, STORY. Join us in the South Gym for performances at 2:00 & 4:30pm! 

HOLIDAY MAGIC

December 4, 2023
A musical performance on the grand steps of City Hall featuring students in grade 4, 5 and Division II choir. Come and listen to the sounds of the season at 12:00 & 12:30pm

THE LAND

December 8, 2023
Victoria School is thrilled to welcome Trickster Theatre who will lead the creation of an original performance with our Kindergarten to grade three students. Developing through the lens of THE LAND, students and teachers will engage in the process of creation, employing theatrical techniques and exploring story possibilities. Join us in the South Gym for performances at 2:00 & 4:30pm! 

THE SPONGEBOB MUSICAL

December 14-16, 2023
SpongeBob and all of Bikini Bottom face the total annihilation of their undersea world. Chaos and anarchy reign… and just when all hope seems lost, a simple sponge rises up to save them all! Join us for this heartwarming, family friendly story guaranteed to be enjoyed by fans of the cartoon and those new to the world of Bikini Bottom.

EMIL AND THE DETECTIVES

February 15-17, 2024
Emil and The Detectives tells the exciting tale of a young boy who ventures on his own from a small town to the bustling city of Berlin to visit his Grandmother and cousin. His objective is to give his Grandmother some money that Emil's mother has been saving up for her. However, on the train, the money is stolen by the devious Mr. Snow. Emil relies on the help of a gaggle of Berlin street-wise children, the detectives, to track down Mr. Snow and attempt to get the money back to its rightful place.

LEAPS AND BOUNDS

March 5-8, 2024
Leaps and Bounds is a celebration of student choreographed works! Throughout the two year programme, Dance IB students explore the art of composition through the creation of a solo, a duet and a group piece. Students have been engaged in the creative process alongside one another and student dancers. We are so excited to be sharing the work of our student choreographers and the incredible ensemble cast of dancers!

CLUE (High School Edition)

March 8 & 9, 14-16, 2024
Based on the iconic 1985 Paramount movie which was inspired by the classic Hasbro board game, Clue is a hilarious farce-meets-murder mystery. Six mysterious guests assemble for an unusual dinner party where murder and blackmail are on the menu. Join us in Boddy Manor for Victoria School's first interactive theatrical event!
