English Language Arts
The purpose of the high school English program is to assist you in acquiring the skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to meet the everyday requirements of life, explore language as an art form, and build communication. Students will deepen their understanding and appreciation of literature, use a variety of texts, including novels, short stories, films, essays, non-fiction, and poetry, and explore both the literal means of communication and the abstract value of communication in their own lives and in the world around them.
